Manual GPRS settings for all Indian Mobile Service providers
For Connecting your mobile to PC/Laptop you need : - 


For Connecting your mobile to PC/Laptop you need : -

1. Dial up Number like - *99***1# or *99#
· 2. Extra-initialization command(sometimes needed)- AT+CGDCONT=1, “xyz”,…..
· 3. .Proper setting selection in mobile (like mobile office, pocket internet etc.)
· 4. Access Point Name (APN) (sometimes needed in case you are using pc suite)


To know the procedure to use your phone as a modem refer to my previous post. I also observed that some times irrespective of right settings in mobile we are unable to access the GPRS, in that kind of situation request your operator to send the required settings. You can also use the SMS service of operator for that as


Airtel :- sms MO to 543210
Aircel:- sms PI and to 121
Docomo:- sms INTERNET to 52270
Reliance GSM :- sms“ALL” to 55100
BSNL :- sms GPRS to 53733
Uninor- sms ALL to 58355

Note :- when you connecting your mobile to pc/laptop there is no need of proxy settings and only APN is sufficient, for example :-
